Or the little bunny as it were. Well I found info on a rescue place for the bunny one, but…… its clear in Swope Park in the middle of KCK and unfortunately with gas prices and lack of vehicle (blown headgasket in my truck) I was unable to get up there. The little one managed to escape over night from its storage container. After quite a long search we found it hiding under a plant stand. Back in the box for now. It ate lettuce and drank water and seems to be quite agile as demonstrated by its repeated escapes from Jarell as he tried to get it to put it back in. I feel terrible not putting it out of its misery, but I can’t bring myself to hurt it more. It seems to be okay for now but I know it can’t last long. Oh crap I’m a good person I swear! I just can’t do any thing more to this poor baby and I know that keeping in a box may not be great, but its safe and dry, fed…. I just can’t do more.
In other news, we finally got our economic stimulus check today, woohoo, and I can’t wait to get out and stimulate that economy. I found a B E A utiful old Singer yesterday, with cabinet, attachments, manual and some patterns for sale at the antiques store for….. $35 and I passed it up at the time, but now, I may have to go back and get it. My husband asked my what I’d do with it, and I honestly don’t know, but that sucker’s pristine and beautiful and cheap, and I want it.

UPDATE The little bunny has been set free. It managed to escape again last night despite the weighted down screen over its box and I just couldn’t keep it captive any more. At least this way if it doesn’t make it, it has one last taste of freedom, and probably some of my garden too…..
