Well this post is mostly for Dana because I wanted to show her that I have managed to get a bit more sophisticated with the editing altho in a slightly oldfashioned way. Umb that makes no sense, but I’m just going to run with it. I also got to harvest my first pumpkin today and am waiting on the return of water pressure to clean it up and bake it for turning into pie after which I’ll have a recipe for my other blog. Its been a while since I made this edited pumpkin pie so I’ve forgotten exactly what I do and don’t put into it and its a matter of making it up as I go along with combining several recipes. (with positive results I might add) Anywho, without further ado, here’s a picture in which I combined one of my shots of an old tombstone with a poignant saying on it with a picture gleaned from web browsing to create a rather simplistic but I think effective altered photo. At least thats what I was going for….. I’ll let you all be the judges. Oh and if I’m talking to myself here, will somebody please let me know? I think theres a bit of an echo around here, but that may just be the echoes of Barbie Girl in my ears again…
So there you go Dana- further experiments for your perusal. I took your advice about leaving the background a different color in the first picture, whereas in the second, I wanted the children to be a slightly different color, but at the same time transparent like the ghosts of the “darling boys”
As an aside, I’m really grateful to J14 for posing in that heavy cloak, skirt and long sleeved shirt in the sun the other day. It was only about 78 so not too hot, but warm enough. *grin* She and her sister (who wouldn’t have her picture taken) are just such pretty girls and they’ve got the whole long flowing curly locks thing going on that makes me just as green as can be with envy. Thank you sis! Lets give her a round of applause folks. She’s going to be knocking boys over with her looks here in a few years but hardly even gives it any thought. The ultimate tomboy. The next time I use her as a model, I’m going to get some pictures with her and her horse and donkies.
